About
Raquel Ale was born in Manaus, Brazil, where she spent most of her life. She started her academic career with a double degree in Chemical Engineering and Biology. Many years and career changes later, Raquel moved to Vancouver with her family in 2017. In 2019, Raquel decided to follow her true passion and become a jewellery designer. After completing the Jewellery Art and Design program at Vancouver Community College, Raquel founded Raquel Ale Jewellery.

Fashionable & Sustainable Designs
Raquel has been experimenting with and developing techniques to create pieces using recycled materials like polypropylene and polyethylene, which can take up to 450 years to decompose; that’s equivalent to 15 generations. She wholeheartedly believes that incorporating these recycled materials in my work can be an inspiration to others and make the jewellery industry a more sustainable one.
Spotlight
During her Jewellery Art & Design program at VCC Raquel was fortunate enough to receive multiple awards, including the Karl Brown Scholarship for outstanding technical achievement. As a result, she was featured in Clothes Line Finds.
